Laser Hair Removal is a treatment used to reduce unwanted facial or body hair. Most people need six to eight treatments. Our hair removal packages are sold in packages of six treatments. Some people may require more treatments, others may require less.
Hair removal sessions are 4 to 8 weeks apart to align with the hair growth cycles. You will have to limit sun exposure 14 days prior to your treatment and 14 days after. SPF is a must. Hot tubs, hot showers, chlorine, and highly fragranced lotions on the treated area may cause irritation. It is a good practice to avoid these for 24 to 48 hours.
pre-laser care
- Shave area 24 hours prior to treatment
- No perfume, lotion, or cologne on the treatment area prior to procedure
- Remove makeup from treatment area before the procedure
- Do not tan or expose the treatment area to excessive sunlight 2 weeks prior to procedure
- No waxing, threading, tweezing, chemical depilatories, or bleaching of the area before and while undergoing treatment sessions
post-laser care
- No exposure to sunlight for 1-2 days after treatment. Use sunblock (SPF 30+) and reapply every 2 hours
- No deodorants, perfumes, perfumed lotions, or colognes on the treatment area for 1-2 days
- No strenuous exercise that causes excessive sweating for 1-2 days
- No hot baths/swimming pools for 1-2 days

what can i expect during my treatment session?
You will shave the treatment area 24 hours prior to your appointment. At your hair removal appointment, you will be provided with eye protection, the laser will be set up based on your skin-type, and hair colour. The laser is used to target the hair in the Anagen growth stage – the active hair follicles in the treatment area – preventing them from growing anymore hair. Over the course of the next several days, the targeted hair follicles will release their growing hair, and your treatment area will be smooth.
how soon can i expect to see my final results?
You will be able to see the results of each treatment session a week or two after each appointment. It can take several months to achieve your ultimate goal of hair-free skin depending on the number of sessions you need to achieve your desired results and how far apart your treatments are scheduled.
am i a good candidate for this hair removal technique?
You may be considered a good candidate for laser hair removal if you’re in fairly good health, not on any medications that cause photosensitivity, not pregnant, breastfeeding, or experiencing skin irritation in the treatment area. Those with light skin with dark hair are ideal candidates.

To prepare for your treatment session, you must take steps to ensure your skin is not irritated when you come in for your appointment. For instance, you should wear sunscreen diligently and minimize the amount of time you spend in the sun.
